Lima, Valle Sagrado, Machu Picchu & Cusco with Montaña de 7 Colores

Peru is as complex as its most intricate and exquisite weavings. Festivals mark ancient rites; the urban vanguard fuels innovation and nature bestows splendid diversity. Peru is one of the world’s most varied countries. It is a multicultural nation, filled with traditions, a unique gastronomy and vast natural reserves.

Thanks to a long history defined by major ancient civilizations, Peru is home to more than 5000 archaeological sites. Many of these remain shrouded in mystery but are still capable of transporting visitors to the periods when such societies flourished.

Vinicunca or the Mountain of Seven Colors, is one of the most popular attractions in Cusco. We will leave the hotel early to head to Cusipata and from there we will move to Phulawasipata, the starting point of the ascending walk. The path will be the perfect excuse to enjoy the nature of the place: herds of llamas and alpacas, as well as the majestic Apu Ausangate, the highest snow-capped mountain in Cusco. We will also be able to talk with the community members of the area and see the potato fields that they work every day. After approximately an hour and a half of walking, we will arrive at Vinicunca, at 5,020 meters above sea level. The view we will get will be the best reward. The minerals that make up the mountain's soil give its slopes and summit curious shades of red, purple, green, yellow and pink, among other colors. Let's prepare our cell phones and cameras for this show! From there we will head back to Phulawasipata. After traveling a total of 8 km on foot, we head towards Cusipata, where we will enjoy a refreshing traditional lunch.
