Costa Rica is a rugged, rain forested Central American country with coastlines on the Caribbean and Pacific. Though its capital, San Jose, is home to cultural institutions like the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, Costa Rica is known for its beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Roughly a quarter of its area is made up of protected jungle, teeming with wildlife including spider monkeys and quetzal birds.

| Day 2 / San Jose // Visit to Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio | On this shared full-day tour to Manuel Antonio National Park, you'll depart from San José in the morning and travel to this jewel of the Central Pacific coast. Accompanied by a bilingual guide, you'll hike along lush rainforest trails, where you'll encounter sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and toucans. Afterward, you can relax on picturesque white-sand beaches, with opportunities for swimming and unwinding. The Central Valley tour of Costa Rica offers a complete experience of culture, nature, and adventure, beginning early in San José with tourist transportation to the Doka coffee plantations. There, participants will learn about the traditional coffee-making process, its history, and the surrounding natural environment. Next, the tour continues to Poás Volcano National Park to admire its imposing 2,708-meter crater, surrounded by diverse vegetation and landscapes of farms and flowers. | Day 5 / Volcan Arenal // Visit Parque Mistico Arenal | Today you will visit the Hanging Bridges of Mistico Arenal National Park, an ecotourism attraction located a short 30-minute drive from most Arenal hotels. The 250-hectare park allows visitors to experience the interactions of the rainforest from two perspectives along a 4-km trail. The first is from trails immersed in the dense tropical rainforest, known as the understory, and the second is from the treetops, where the species of insects, birds, plants, and mammals observed from above are different from those found in the lower canopy. During the 2.5-hour tour, the naturalist guide will provide detailed information about the interactions between plants, insects, birds, and mammals. Some sections of the trails and the hanging bridges are open areas, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano, the northern plains of Costa Rica, and even Lake Arenal. | Day 6 / Rincon de la Vieja |
This morning, the transfer is scheduled to the highlands of the Guanacaste region, specifically to the Rincón de la Vieja National Park area. The tour includes panoramic views of the Liberia region and its surroundings, crossing valleys, rivers, and small rural towns that dot the landscape. As you ascend into the mountains, you will notice a change in temperature and vegetation, approaching tropical dry forest ecosystems and areas of volcanic flora. The Rincón de la Vieja area is renowned for its natural diversity, which combines thermal rivers, fumaroles, jungle trails, and waterfalls. The simultaneously warm and cool climate, along with the volcanic and rural landscapes, offers an authentic experience that highlights the geological and ecological richness of Costa Rica. B |
| Day 7 & 8 / Rincon de la Vieja |
During your stay, you can enjoy the hotel's facilities and relax in a unique natural setting. If you wish, you'll have the opportunity to select from a variety of optional activities available in the area, such as hikes along the trails of Rincón de la Vieja National Park, horseback riding, hot springs, or adventure tours. | Day 9 / Rincon de la Vieja |
This morning, the transfer from the Rincón de la Vieja region to San José is scheduled. The journey begins at the foot of the volcano, descending through landscapes of dry tropical forest and cattle ranches before joining the main highway toward the Central Valley. Along the way, you'll appreciate how the environment gradually changes, transitioning from the warm plains of Guanacaste to the verdant mountains of the country's interior. This trip offers a final glimpse into Costa Rica's natural and cultural diversity before arriving in the capital. B |

- Please note that the Manuel Antonio tour requires a minimum of 4 clients on Mondays and Thursdays, and only 2 clients on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The tour does not operate on Tuesdays because the park is closed. This policy will be verified by our reservations department when providing a quote.
- Rincón de la Vieja National Park is closed on Mondays and children under 4 years old are not allowed on the Rincón de la Vieja National Park excursion.
