Nos tur dos, Dino y Jedric (tata(45) y jiu(16)), ta gusta combina naturalesa y ejercicio. Riba Aruba casi no tin mondi cu nos no a cana aden. Un challenge nobo tawata hasi falta. Mescos ta conta ora di bai cu vakantie afo. Entre otro, luganan friw manera Noorwegen, desierto (Egypte), jungla (Suriname) y verre-oosten (China) ya nos conoce. E pregunta tawata ta: “Unda awo?”

Wij hebben een te gekke cruise gehad! De service aan boord was meer dan goed ! excellent !Een enorme hoeveelheid personeel en alemaal even lief en aardig.
Neem bv het ontbijt; je kon kiezen uit diverse restaurants om te gaan eten; wij kozen het regency a la carte restaurant. Je kreeg een grote menukaart en terwijl je die begon te lezen, kwamen de eerste obers al aanlopen; de eerste die een servetje op je schoot legde, de volgende “wilt u jusd’orange? “de volgende met koffie, weer een andere met thee….elke ober had zijn funktie .Aan zo’n ontbijt zag je wel 10 verschilende obers aan tafel, maar niet storend hoor!Het ontbijt werd ook als een soort luxe diner opgediend…niet van alles tegelijk op je bord, maar alles wat je bestelde werd apart en na elkaar gebracht. Je kon t zo gek niet noemen of t stond op de kaart. Heeeeeeeerlijk!!!!Ik vrees ook dat we wel wat zijn aangekomen, t was allemal zo lekker……
De eerste dag , donderdag waren we om 4 uur aan boord en hebben toen eerst t schip verkend, leuk, over zo’n dek lopen! Dag twee was een dag op zee, dus lekker luieren, een beetje zwemmen op t pooldek, hapje hier, drankje daar.

Dag drie was Cartagena. Hozen van de regen, met bakken kwam t naar benee! De straten gutsten van t water! We hadden een citytour besteld, dus Wij met een klein parapuutje boven ons hoofd bus in, bus uit, soppend in onze schoenen! Maar gelukkig werd t na een uurtje droog! We hebben genoten hoor, ondanks het eerste uurtje regen! Zo’n ander land, mooie schilderachtige straatjes, huizen met balkonnetjes, waar duidelijk de spaanse invloeden nog te zien waren.Vrouwen in bont gekleurde kleding, met schalen fruit, groente op hun hoofd. Wel veel opdringerige straatverkopers.

Wat een heel leuke bijkomstigheid was, was dat het de eerste keer was dat de Ocean Dream, en dus Pullmanntours, in Colombia kwam. Dus werd het schip met veel onthaal binnengehaald, dansgroepen buiten op de kade, en in de middag kwam zelfs de president van Colombia! Groot feest voor de deur, zal er een fotootje van meesturen! En bij het uitvaren kregen we vuurwerk!! En een bigband aan boord, met champagne enzo ! Echt een onvergetelijke belevenis!
Dag vier kwamen we in Santa Marta, een heel ander soort stadje.Ook hier werden we onthaald met dansgroepen.Het stadje zelf is veel armer, chaotische straatjes met een kakefonie aan geluiden.Ik vond het een mengeling van Sousse en Bangkok! Dit centrum lag vlakbij de haven, dus konden we er zelf rondlopen. Daarna hebben we taxi gehuurd, met Wiebe en Barbara en zijn we t achterland in gereden.Ongelofelijk!! Heel arme golfplatenhutjes, langs de spoorbaan,mensen zittend op straat, ( zand).Ik kon daar geen fotoos maken, omdat we er met grote vaart langsscheurden, jeetje die taxichauffeur reed als een bezetene! Joop zat voorin en voelde zich alsof hij in een computerspelletje terecht was gekomen…zo van rij een oud omaatje plat en je krijgt extra bonuspunten !! Links of rechts rijden, ach wat maakt uit…dubbele witte streep? Leuk voor de sier….inhalen, ondanks er een bocht kwam, of op een heuvel, zodat je onmogelijk kon zien of er een tegenligger kwam…doodeng! Maar we keken onze ogen uit, wat we dus langs de weg zagen, die dorpjes, koffie en bananenplantages, bergen, prachtige bloemen..
We kwamen uiteindelijk bij een tropisch regenwoud, waar we een uurtje hebben gewandeld. Mooi!!!! Lianen, bamboe, bananenbomen, palmen, bloemen, waterval….echt zo mooi!!!!

s’Avonds , na een copieus diner, waar iedereen er altijd mooi uitzag, vermaakten we ons met een schitterende show, (het enige nadeel aan deze cruise was, dat er door het enytertainment team uitsluitend Spaans werd gesproken en daar verstaan we geen woord van !!!!)en van de ene bar in de andere! Een hele leuke pianobar, een gewone bar, een Bahia bar ( dansclub) waar we de salsa hebben gedanst.Ook op de gangen langs de barretjes, kon je heel gezellig zitten.

Je komt makkelijk in gesprek met andere gasten, er waren natuurlijk ook andere mensen uit Aruba aan boord. ( in elke haven stapten er mensen op en van t schip, dus ook veel colombianen)
Grappig, als je dan met iemand praat, dat je dan altijd wel een gemeenschappelijke kennis hebt!!!
En heerlijke drankjes he, cocktails, zo decadent! ( all inclusive)
We hebben echt heel erg genoten en we kunnen het iedereen aanvelen !

RAMADA INN AIRPORT NORTH

Wonderful cosy 2* hotel - rooms are clean but simple - staff very friendly - breakfast buffet, more extensive than Red Roof or Baymont Hotel - Location is excellent, across from Westland Mall (walking distance, but there is also a shuttle) - Hotel is a little bit far from Airport..

A Big Plus, nightclub on property with live merengue and salsa band, so if you are travelling in a group it is guaranteed fun!

Price Afl 65.00 p/p per night

HYATT PLACE MIAMI AIRPORT

A great hotel! The rooms are all SUITES, with a seperate living area and a small kitchen (too small to really cook) A big 42″ flat screen TV and nice amenities in the room. The hotel is high-tec, meaning that you can check-in/check-out automatically, order room service by touch screen, wireless high speed internet connection etc etc. If you did not bring your laptop, there are two computers that you can use on a complimentary basis in the lobby bar. This is the best DEAL hotel, as it offers you, shuttle services to dolphin and walmart 24 hrs, breakfast and luxury suite accomodations. Next stay, I am definitely booking the HYATT PLACE

INTERCONTINENTAL WEST MIAMI

This hotel is a luxury hotel, comparable with Hyatt here in Aruba - The location is WEST MIAMI, close to Dolphin Mall, in the DORAL area. The hotel is surrounded by Office parks and very close to the airport - accessible by shortcut. The rooms are nicely decorated, but not that big (in comparison with Hyatt Place) but it is a FULL SERVICE HOTEL, meaning 24 room-service, movies on demand, laundry services, bellman, etc etc. E.g. My babystroller was missing a screw, so I called maintenance and they took the stroller and fixed it for me, very good customer service!It also features complimentary shuttle services to Dolphin Mall, International Mall and 24 hours Wallmart as well as airport.

Indigo Tours also has a including breakfast price, which is highly advisable (room service breakfast cost me$25.00!)

ALL above hotels feature extensive shuttle services,so no car rental is neccesary - a BIG SAVINGS!

Esaki tabata mi promer crucero, unda cu mi tata a dicidi di treat famia cu family trip. Mi a dicidi di hiba mi chick cumi cual tabata un bon opcion pasobra ta leuk pa pase cu famia y un pareja erbij tabata tremendo.

E voorbereiding tabata e shopping na Aruba mes pa zorg di tin panja adecua pa tur e thema avonden  riba e crucero.

Mi por bisa cu e servicio abordo tabata excelente e tripulacion tabata hopi attento cu nos, mi no tin nada di keha pa cu servicio.

Mi ta contento tambe cu mirando cu nos a kies un crucero chiquito e ta brindabo e chens di conoce e otro pasajeronan mihor, e unico laf ta cu tin 2 boarding islands cual ta corta e chens pa conoce otro mihor.

Mi por bisa cu nos a enjoy hopi cu famia riba e varios islanan cu nos a conoce y nos a ser bon mima pa un siman largo riba e dushi crucero Ocean Dream, mi ta spera di por ripiti e crucero mas pronto cu ta posibel.

Ami ta un viajero mas tanto den avion of terestre, pero mi ta conseja tur hende purba e cruise trip, paso e ta hopi mas effectivo pa conoce mas pais den un trip y ademas bo ta wordu gepampered fe ora bo subi e barco. Bo no mester kibra cabes tur dia unda pa come of kiko pa come, tur cos ta ey mes.

For our parent’s 40th wedding anniversary we choose to go with the whole family to Bariloche, Argentina. We travelled with Avianca to Buenos Aires, where we met the other half of the family who travelled from Amsterdam to meet us. Naturally we stayed a couple of days in Buenos Aires which is a wonderful city! We visited the zoo, shopped for leather boots, bags etc and our husbands took in the final soccer match of the year..which was an experience they will never forget. We stayed in the NH Crillon hotel - perfect location and a good price. Breakfast was wonderful and included.

After a few days in Buenos Aires, Gabriella (our personal tour guide in BA, arranged by Maduro Travel) picked us up and personally escorted us to the national airport where we boarded Aerolina Argentina to Bariloche. It was a smooth 2 hour flight ( we did have a 2 hour delay) and upon arrival in Bariloche we rented a car to drive to our rental Villa for the week. (that was quite an adventure finding it, and a reccomedation is to have some-one pick you up from the aiport to avoid this)

Once we finally entered our villa, all was forgotten, as the villa we rented was absolutely beautiful - the VIEW was incredible of the snow -covered mountains and the lake..and the house was luxurious and spacious. One negative is that there was no internet connection, although we specifically requested this -

For the next 7 days we relaxed and enjoyed Bariloche, which is a small town with about 100000 inhabitants in the summer - in the winter (july - october) there are about 2x as much people, as many have houses there where the come up and stay during the skiing season. Unfortunately we did not have alot of snow, but the kids still enjoyed sleding and the older kids took private ski-lessons (so did the adults!!)

As a special treat during one of our last nights at the villa, we had a  private chef come and cook a 3 -course meal for us that was simply marvelous. What a luxury to have a private chef and a wonderful dinner in the comfort of your own home. the kids could sleep and the adults could enjoy some pampering..Our villa even had a parilla, so you can imagine the dinner the chef cooked for us!

 As a destination Bariloche has alot a nature and beauty to admire, but if you do not ski, there is not much for you to do there. You can admire the mountains, the lakes and take some excursions, but it is limited.

If you ski, or like to try it is a great destination, as their winter is our summer, and who would not want to get away from the heat and enjoy the snow once inawhile!

My family and I had so much fun for the past ten years cruising and visiting several islands in the Caribbean amoung them are; Barbados, Jamaica, Cayman Island, Island of Magarita, Curacao, Cozumel, St. Maarten & St. Thomas. The most trilling experience was on a 14 day trans atlantic  cruise on board the Celebrity Constellation ship. Halfway on the Atlantic Ocean, the captain announced on the radio, that we are located on a aprox. 5000 m. dept on the ocean. That… really scared me off!!! But over all we had a nice and smooth 5 day cruising on the Antlantic. Untill reaching Madeira, Portugal, France and England. On my next cruis though, i would love to cross the Panama Canal.
