How to Add a Video
In your Add New Post / Edit Post window click on the second squared icon at the right of the Upload / Insert menu - If you’re not sure that this is the correct option, hover with your mouse over the icon, it should say “Add Video”.
In the “Add Video” window click on Browser Uploader link (if you can’t see this, verify that you are in the “From Computer” tab). Than click on Browse to access your computer. Browse to look for your video file, click on the file name than click on the Open button. The name of the file you’ve chosen will now appear in the white box in front of the Browse button. Click on Upload to upload your video to our server.
Your video file has to have a title, this will be used as the text which will link to your video file in your post.
Caption
When you type a name in the caption field, the text will not be shown for video files.
Description
Enter a description in this field - this will be only visible in combination with the POST URL button. Use this when you don’t want to include the description of your video in your post, but rather on a separate page. Using this option will place a link to your video in your post to a new page, where the video link will be shown with caption if provided.
Link URL
If you click on the None button or you leave this field blank than the video file will not be linked to your Title. Don’t use this.
If you click on File URL the system will place a link directly to the original video file. Use this when you’d like to link to the file directly, rather than going first to another page with a description. Use this, when you don’t have a description for your video file.
If you click on the Post URL button (this is set by default when adding an video file) the system will place a link to your post entry’s attachment page, which will display the video file link on a separate page with its Title, description and link to the original file video file.
When you are ready deciding how you would like to place your file, click on Insert into Post. The video file will be linked to the Title you’ve given it.
When a web visitor clicks on the audio file link, it will open another page with the link again the description. Once the visitor clicks on the video file link again the file will slowly be loaded and opened in a separate page - it will be played using a local video player from the visitor’s computer, which is associated to video file format (FLV, MOV). Try to use flv’s as this is the best compressed format and uses little space.
YouTube
We encourage all who have a youtube account to upload their video’s there and just paste the links in their text. To insert a youtube video click on the “Add Video” icon in the Upload / Insert menu, click on the From URL tab.
Go to your YouTube video and copy its internet address (URL) from within Internet Explorer (or your any other local Internet browser) and paste it in the Video URL field. Type a Title and click on Insert into Post.
