Share your Stories
Start by thinking how you’d like publish your story:
A) Do you have a long story of your travels and more than 1 picture? Then you should publish your story in the Travel Reports.
B) Do you have a short story, a daily travel journal, a remark or opinion on one of your travels and 1 picture? Then you should publish your story in the Travel Blog.
C) Do you only want to publish your pictures with your descriptions (optional)? Then you should publish in Travel Snaps.
There are a few things you should know before you start publishing:
Your pictures should be JPGs or GIF, but we’d rather have you use JPG files. The file size for your pictures cannot exceed 2MB per picture. If your picture is larger and you don’t know how to resize it, we can advise you to use http://www.picresize.com – a handy free online tool to resize your pictures. Just save your newly resized pictures on your computer and upload it into your posts. Online you are able to find more of these tools.
Yes, you can add video’s; you can either upload them or link them from your youtube account or any other of your online video gallery accounts. If you are uploading video’s you should know that the file size for video’s cannot exceed 20MB and has to be in WMV, MPEG, FLV formats. Since FLV files tend to be smaller we’d rather have you use that format. Remember that video’s downloaded directly from camera can be large in size (if HD or DV). Try to convert your videos into a smaller resolution and/or edit them to show what you’d like to show, to keep the file size smaller. If you have a lot of videos we’d like to advise you to create YouTube account to upload your videos. If your videos are in youtube linking will be no problem whatsoever.
